Cars and tow trucks and ice skates oh my...

I had a really great blog planned out for Parker's first day of ice skating lessons however my plan was sort of shot to heck.
Yesterday my tooth was aching so bad I had to find a dentist. I got in with one in the morning but had no one to take Parker and so he and i trudged to the dentist early yesterday. It was a short but painful procedure and the numb mouth lasted most of the day. Then we decided to stop at the store get some groceries and rent a movie from red box. I had this great plan of having dinner on the stove for Jim when he go home because Parker and I would be at skate lessons. When I got home I parked the car in the unloading zone to get my groceries out of the car. I ran upstairs and the phone rang so I chatted for a bit. Then Parker and I made some soup. After our soup we snuggled up on the couch and watched a movie. During our movie we heard some loud noises outside but thought nothing of it.
After the movie I was going to put Parker down for a nap so he would be well rested for his lessons. It was then that I saw a moving truck and went out on the porch to see who was moving. Only then did I realize that they were parked where my car once was. That loud noise we heard during our movie was our car being towed away! I had totally forgotten to go move my car over to our parking spot. I then called up my sweet friend Jen and asked (through my sobbing) if she could take me to get my car out of the lot. Lets just say 1 hour of crying followed by 1.5 hours of driving, and 200 dollars later I got my car. Parker was starving and so instead of my homemade spaghetti we had to run through McDonald's to get him a happy meal (which frankly didn't make me very happy). Then we ran to skating lessons that ended up to be a bit of a disaster. Think very tired child on cold hard ice. Not a good combo. We left early and the minute he got in his car seat he was out. I'm hoping someday I will look back on this day and laugh but for now lets just hope today is a better day.

Oh dear!!! We all have days like that occasionally... I think it's our way of being punished for thinking that everyone else is a stupid idiot. :) Ice skating lessons sounds so very fun! I'm jealous of all the cool things available outside of Hamilton!

Poor Jac! Sounds like a "great" day! So what's the deal with my blog on your list....it never says when I post...I think something is wrong with me because it does that on a lot of blogs...who knows! My mom made popcorn for us all Sunday because she decided she needed to taste this popcorn you were raving about...I hope you found it! We'll be on the lookout if not!

Oh! That makes me so sad for you! What a horrible turn of events! Ice skating lessons really should be fun on a less doomed day.

Sounds like a crazy day! It stressed me out just reading about it!

Oh and Kim, the reason your blog doesn't show when you last posted is because your blog is set to private. I have another friend who has a private blog and it doesn't show up either on my page.
